Early Career Writing & Research Skills Workshop in the Energy Justice Space
Following the International Energy Justice, Early Career Conference held in 2024, this event aims to further develop the skills and network of early career researchers in the energy justice space. The Early Career Writing & Research Skills Workshop will be held from 9 until 11 April 2025 in person at the premises of UNU-CRIS, located at Potterierei 72, 8000 Bruges, Belgium.
This Workshop convened by UNU-CRIS, TRansitions Energétiques et Environnementales (TREE) Lab of the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour, and Erasmus University Rotterdam, is designed to equip early career researchers with the skills and guidance necessary to conduct sound research and publish in top tier journals, while helping develop a strong network of collaboration between early them. The workshop will be the opportunity for an interdisciplinary research exchange on the topics of sustainability, energy justice, climate justice and a just transition.
The in-person workshop will be held over a three (3) day period involving a mix of group sessions, networking activities and writing time. Participants will be able to receive feedback on writing, understand the academic publishing process, journal selection and submission requirements, as well as access advice on career progress. The workshop will not only create a supportive environment for overcoming some hurdles that early career researchers face, but double as an opportunity to publish research.
