Cultural Activities in Trento

Trento is a city with a rich history and beautiful scenery. It is also known for its high quality of living and excellent academics. Our host, the School of International Studies at the University of Trento is well known for its multidisciplinary approach to research.

The MUSE opened in 2013 and hosts a range of permanent and temporary exhibitions on sustainability, environmental science and geology. It's definitely worth a visit, as it's a 12-minute walk from the conference venue!

Now a museum, the Castello del Buonconsiglio hosted prince-bishops in the Trentino region from the 13th to the end of the 18th century. The historic castle is worth a visit, and it's only a 15 minute walk from the conference venue!

Visit the historic Cattedrale San Vigilio in the heart of Trento! Set across a backdrop of the Alps and the Dolomites, this scenic cathedral has a duomo and is 400m from the conference venue!

Located right next to the cathedral, the Piazza del Duomo di Trento is the town's central square with a stunning fountain, beautiful architecture and amazing scenery.

Sardagna is a small hamlet which overlooks Trento. Ride the funicular for panoramic views of the city and the surrounding region-- it's only a 5 minute ride and a 400m walk from the conference venue!
